Writing about the business end of things is challenging. There exists a division between serious and entertaining in most of the articles on the topic - you either have a dry, just-the-facts-ma’am tone or an overexaggerated, sensationalized parody of it. Meanwhile, I’m reading these thinking - what happened to subtlety? That’s what I like to focus on when writing business pieces. How can I balance voice and facts just enough to make it engaging for the reader? That’s what’s important, above all. I want the reader to want to keep reading about the details. I want to find the connective tissue.
